Adding Karma to an Account Within a Group

In order to create tasks in your group, you must first add virtual currency - karma - to your account in that group. Adding this karma within your group to your account is completely free. If you pay out karma to users in your group, we recommend adding as much karma to your account as you are willing to pay your group members.

This is useful, for example, in a situation where you use the app to motivate your children to perform household activities. You know that you will pay the children a maximum of 1000 CZK per month. You have the karma rate for the group set to 1000 karma = 1 CZK. Then you know that you should add a maximum of 1,000,000 karma to your account for that month.
Below is the procedure for adding karma to your account:
- First, open the group settings page.
- Click the Add karma to this account button.
- Enter the amount of karma you want to add to the account.
- Click the Add button.

Note: You can find out the amount of karma for a given account and group on the account settings page, or on the group selection page. However, the account settings page only displays karma for the group that is currently selected. Therefore, to see the karma change, you must choose the appropriate group as the selected group.
9

Editing the Karma Rate

If you want to enable payouts for users in your group, you must set the karma rate to the desired currency in which you will be paying out. You can do this as follows:
- First, open the group settings page.
- Click the Manage karma rate button.
- Choose the currency for which you want to set a new rate.
- Enter the new rate for karma → selected currency.
- Click the Save button.

Note: The old karma rate remains displayed in the system, but the latest karma rate for the given currency is used for payouts.
