How can I use karma? And how can I gain or spend it?

Karma serves as a virtual currency. You can use it to have a task completed for you, or, after reaching an agreement with the owner of the respective group, you can arrange for the karma to be converted into real money. Currently, we do not support the payout of karma in the global group. You gain karma by completing tasks for others, or, as a group owner, you can credit it to yourself within that specific group. This karma then serves as your budget, determining how much you can afford to pay for completed tasks.

Why do I keep seeing tasks from the very same group?

Tasks are displayed within the group you currently have selected. You can find out which group is currently selected in the section "Settings" → "Groups settings" → "Select a Group". In this section, you can also change the currently selected group.

I completed the task, but I still haven't received my karma. Why is that?

Accepted Answer

In order to receive karma for completing a task, the task assigner must first confirm that you have actually completed the task. This is a security measure to ensure the task assigner always has confidence that their task will be properly finished.

I want to create a new task in my group, but it says there's no activity. Why is that?

This is an issue with the group settings. If you are not the group owner, you must ask the owner to add some activity types and corresponding activities to them. Conversely, if you are the group owner, you can add activity types and the activities themselves in one of the following ways:1) Via the setup wizard:- "Settings" → "Setup Guide" →- Select preferred language →- Select preferred currency →- Click the button "Let's get started!" →- Select group type (activities will be created based on this group type) →- Click the button "Create your own group" →- Create a new group or select an existing one and click the button "Continue" →- Click the button "Manage activity types in the group" →- At this point, you will see automatically created activity types, or you can create new activity types in the next section "Create a new activity type"; when you are finished, click the button "Continue" →- Click the button "Manage activities in the group" →- Manage activities in a similar way to activity types, then click the button "Continue" →- Invite friends and click the button "Continue" →- Finally, click the button "Go to application".2) Or manually:"Settings" → "Groups settings" → "Manage My Groups" → Select the created group → "Manage activity types" or "Manage activities".

In such a situation, you can report the user, and our team will investigate the situation and take appropriate action. You can also submit a rating for the user to warn others about them.

You can accept group invitations from the section "Settings" → "Groups" → "Manage Member Groups" → and by clicking the "Accept" button for the specific group invitation.

If someone refuses to submit the task they are supposed to complete, you can report the user, and our team will investigate the situation and take appropriate action. You can also submit a rating for that user to warn others.

How can I pay out users in my group?

Accepted Answer

You can pay out users in your group from the section "Settings" → "Groups" → "Manage My Groups" → Select one of your groups → "Payout users" → Enter who you want to pay, how much karma you want to pay out, and click the "Payout" button. Then physically hand over the money to the other party, and this party must confirm the receipt of the money. Ideally, perform this transaction physically side-by-side. Can I somehow request a payout as a group member?

Yes, you can request a payout from the section "Settings" → "Groups" → Manage Member Groups → Click on the group from which the payout was supposed to come to you → "Payout Settings". On this page, you enter the amount of karma you want to exchange for real money and click the "Request Payout" button. The currency in which you want to be paid is your selected default account currency.

I initiated the payout, but the karma was not deducted from the other party.

When you initiate a payout, the other party must confirm they received it. Only then will the karma be deducted from the other party. The other user can do this in the section "Settings" → "Groups" → "Manage Member Groups" → Click on the group from which the payout was supposed to come to you → Payout Settings → "Manage Payouts" → and click the "Approve" button.

Why can't a child account create tasks?

This is a security measure to prevent children from sharing their sensitive information. Child accounts can only offer bids on tasks and complete them. Thanks to this limitation, your children are safe within the Jobiro application.

Why can't we log in to the child account?

Accepted Answer

In order to log in to a child account, parental consent must first be granted via the email message that was sent to the email address provided in the parent account.
